Imagine how much you generate in single day. Now multiply that by ten thousand, and you’ve got the enormous amount of data an enterprise generates in a single day.

The good news is, you can leverage all these analytics to delight your customers and improve operational efficiency. You clicking on and reading this blog is generating performance data about this content. It tells me that you liked the headline enough to click on it. The actionable insight it gives me is to write similar blog headlines. There are many different types of data around how your IT ecosystem is performing as well: applications, databases, devices, servers, microservices, clouds, and so much more. If there’s an outage on the app that your entire business relies on—such as an enterprise that relies on their website to sell their products—you need accurate data to ensure that the outage gets remediated ASAP. In fact, Garter sites that bad or unclean data is the primary reason why 40 percent of all business initiatives fail to reach their targeted benefits.
