The NIST Framework is designed to enable businesses to build a business resilient to cyber-attacks. This means they can protect themselves from cyber criminals and also continue the business operating at an acceptable level in the event of a cyber-attack.

The framework provides a methodology to build capabilities to Identify assets and risk, Protect and Defend those assets, while maintaining the ability to Respond to – and Recover from – the impact of attack.
